Jo Dow

Screen-acting / Course leader

Jo trained at the Guildhall School under Patsy Rodenburg OBE and after 25 years on TV, film and stage, playing regular charcacters in many iconic series, clocking up over 500 episodes from live studio sitcom to 13 million viewers, police drama, sci-fi, 75mm widescreen at sea, ground-breaking medical drama and writer-led TV films for writers like Linda La Plante, Jed Mercurio and Jimmy McGovern.

He has also trained communicators for the cabinet office, civil service, and many bsuiness organisations across the world.

Sara Dylan

Voice/Accent/voice-over

After training at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting, I have since worked on many film, television and theatre productions. I am a busy voice-over artist and have been coaching acting and voice since 2005.

I am passionate about helping my clients access the full range of their capabilities as a speaker and find confidence in using their voice in a more dynamic way. I have helped many clients overcome vocal issues including confidence, vocal quality and delivery skills and minor speech issues with regard to accent and pronunciation.

Adam Gillian

Screen acting

.Adam Gillian is an Actor born in Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland. He is known for 'Counsel' (2019) 'Pan Tau' (2020) 'Hope Street' (2022) and 'A Belfast Story' (2013). He was awarded a full scholarship to train at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, graduating in 2015. He then graduated from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in 2017.

Kieran Lagan

Acting / Acting Meisner-Stanislavski specialist

Kieran studied acting and actor training at The Central School of Speech and Drama. He has trained students of acting at the Lyric Theatre and in various Drama Schools and Universities and also coaches professional actors. His work offers techniques from Stanislavski, Michael Chekhov, Meisner and Acting for Camera.  His work empowers the actor by using their imagination and physically working through the body to release the imagination and embody the text. 

Jude McSpaddem

Accents/voice

.Jude is a Belfast based voice and dialect coach. She has over 25 years experience teaching and training actors in voice, speech and accent both nationally and internationally. She has taught and coached in several settings: Drama school, Theatre, Film and TV. She has also taught and coached in the USA.

MercerMacWilliam

Sound/editing

  I'm a student filmmaker based in Belfast, working mainly on independent short films. I have experience as a runner on professional sets, and as a boom operator and sound mixer on the BFI Film Academy Residential delivered by the National Film and Television school, from which I graduated in April 2018. My shorts films have won Into Film’s “Film of the Month” (2017), been shortlisted at MyRodeReel2016 and Cinemagic Young Filmmaker Contest and have been screened at BFI Southbank, Queens Film Theatre and Cornstore Creative Hub


Jenny Long

Acting/improvisation and devising/script analysis

.Jenny works as an Educator, Actor and Theatre Director. She has over twenty-five years’ experience of supporting and developing actors in their training to become the best they can be. She trained at Exeter University and The Drama Studio, London and began her career as a professional actor.

Suzannah McCreight

  Suzannah McCreight is a Belfast-based contemporary dance choreographer and teacher. She trained at Trinity Laban conservatoire of dance in London before dancing professionally in UK-based companies such as Transitions, Scottish Dance Theatre, Attik, Springs and Maiden Voyage. She majored in choreography for her MA at Trinity Laban where she joined the faculty, teaching technique and Laban movement studies. She has also worked as a rehearsal director with Bare Bones repertory touring company in Birmingham. Since moving to Northern Ireland in 2007, Suzannah has taught at the University of Ulster, Belfast Metropolitan College, Rose Bruford’s foundation course in screen acting, and numerous community dance settings.

Phil Rafferty

Phil has been an actor based in Belfast for the last 12 years, working on productions in The Lyric Theatre, The Mac, and The Waterfront. He began his training with The Rainbow Factory in Belfast before gaining a place with The Lyric Drama Studio. He trained with the Academy of Performance Combat to use Stage Combat in both Film and Theatre working with leading stage combat instructors and fight directors in the UK. After 5 years of training, Phil now works as a stage combat tutor. Phil is a member of the Belfast Screen Acting staff team.
